Hyundai Power Liftgate and Smart Liftgate Operation

The available Power Liftgate and Smart Liftgate on your Hyundai allows for easy opening and closing using a variety of methods. The main setting for the Power Liftgate is found in set up, then vehicle, and then door. When turned off, only the Liftgate button will control the Power Liftgate. When turned on the Liftgate button, key fob button, and interior button will all control the Power Liftgate. The Liftgate will remain closed. If you press any button on the smart key, the Smart Liftgate function will be deactivated temporarily and the Liftgate will not open.

Smart Liftgate will not operate within 15 seconds of locking the vehicle: if the smart key is detected in close proximity of the vehicle within 15 seconds of locking the vehicle, if a door is not locked or closed, if the smart key is in the vehicle.
